A Brief History
In 1974, Dick and Trudy Eastman bought the Mallard Goose and Duck Processing Plant where local hunters take their waterfowl to be plucked and prepared for cooking and freezing. Realizing that the feathers could be utilized, we opened the Tulegoose Pillow Company in 1979. Our pillows & comforters only use 100% waterfowl down and all of our products are made in the USA.

About Trudy Eastman
Trudy Eastman of The Mallard and Tulegoose Pillow Co. in Tulelake was inducted into the California Waterfowlers Hall of Fame for her waterfowl conservation efforts! She was the first woman to be afforded this honor.

The L.A. Times published an article on the front page of their Business Section. The AP Press then picked up the story, taking it international.

On Sunday, April 4th, 2010, an article was published on Trudy Eastman on page C6 of the Living Well Section. Described as “A woman with pluck,” they detailed her business life as the first woman ever inducted into the California Waterfowlers Hall of Fame for her waterfowl conservation efforts.
